Ash Wednesday Services
Ash Wednesday is the traditional start of Lent, the season leading up to Easter. In the Benefice there will be two communion services which will include the opportunity for ashing for those who wish to do so.
This is an ancient tradition when ashes are made out of last year’s palm crosses and the sign of the cross is made on people’s foreheads. It is a symbolic reminder of our need for God’s forgiveness in our lives.
