Temporary Closure For Building Maintenance
Chipping Sodbury Library
Chipping Sodbury Community Library will be temporarily closed to the public from Monday 6th October 2025, reopening on Tuesday 25th November 2025 to allow for planned essential maintenance works to the building.
During the closure period:
• Library services will continue to be available at nearby branches, including Yate Library and Thornbury Library.
• Online services will remain fully accessible, including e-books, audiobooks, and digital resources via the South Gloucestershire Libraries website.
• All current loans from Chipping Sodbury Library will be automatically extended until the first week of December 2025, so borrowers will not need to worry about returning items during the closure.
We understand this temporary closure may cause inconvenience and appreciate the patience and support of the local community during this time.
The library is scheduled to reopen at 9.30am on Tuesday 25th November 2025, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back then.
