We arrange walks each weekend as well as midweek evenings in the summer. The area and length of the walk varies greatly and members also arrange occasional weekends away.
We have regular social events such as skittles evenings, quiz nights, barbecues and the like, and there is always a Christmas dinner.
However, we are more than just a walking club. The Ramblers is a registered charity and one of its aims is to campaign to keep the footpath network open.
The Sodbury in Bloom group are a small band of volunteers who work to improve our environment, using gardening as a tool.
They are also looking for people who might be willing to keep an eye on their local patch, cutting weeds back or planting bulbs as appropriate.
If you have green fingers and fancy enhancing your local patch, please get in touch.

Southwold Ramblers is a local group of the Ramblers' Association (RA). The group is based in the Yate and Chipping Sodbury area of South Gloucestershire; however, our walks take us to many different locations.
The group organises rambles (approx 4-15 miles) on a regular programme throughout the year, during the week and at weekends.
Spreading awareness on sustainability whilst supporting local community run groups in Sodbury and Yate.
The warmth and exhilaration of flower rich meadows, secretive ancient woodlands and wooded grassland plateaux are all found on a visit to Wapley Bushes Local Nature Reserve to the south of Yate.
